Austin Chauffeur Routes

Every route requires an itinerary quote before you book. Sedan, SUV, S-Class, and Sprinter transfers are quoted in writing for your pickup, destination, and trip details.

What the drive windows mean

The times on each route are typical in-vehicle windows once you are in the car, not landing-to-door guarantees. At the airport, deplaning, baggage and the walk to the meeting point come first, and rush hour on IH-35, MoPac, US-183 and SH-71 can push any trip past the upper end of its range.

Each route page explains the usual corridor, the pickup details for that destination and the questions travelers ask most, so you can choose a pickup time with some margin.

Regional runs

Austin to San Antonio follows IH-35 south through San Marcos and New Braunfels, usually 75 to 90 minutes in the vehicle. Austin to Dallas is a long IH-35 run north through Waco, typically 195 to 240 minutes, and is best booked well ahead with any stops listed in the reservation.

Not seeing your trip? Any address pair in the metro can be quoted as a point-to-point ride, and longer days can be booked as hourly charter.

How a route quote is built

A route on this page is a one-way transfer between two addresses, so it is priced as an itinerary quote rather than by the hour. Dispatch looks at the pickup and drop-off, the vehicle class, the time of day and anything that adds work, such as an airport meeting point, extra luggage or a child seat, then sends the price in writing before anything is booked.

Point-to-point floors are $130 for a sedan and $160 for an SUV. Those are the lowest a transfer can be, not route fares, and a transfer does not inherit the three-hour hourly minimum. Adding a stop on the way is not an automatic switch to hourly service either: ask for a revised quote, or compare retained hourly service if the day has several stops.

Choosing the vehicle for your route

A business sedan suits one to three passengers and typically holds about two large bags and two carry-ons. An SUV handles four to six passengers with luggage and is the safer choice when the bag count is tight. A Mercedes-Benz Sprinter is planned for up to 12 passengers and 12 bags, subject to the assigned configuration, and groups of 13 or more need coordinated vehicles.

If the transfer turns into a longer day, hourly estimates are $120 for the sedan, $150 for the SUV, $230 starting for the Mercedes S-Class and $240 starting for the Sprinter, each with a three-hour minimum. The booking form confirms the final price for the S-Class and Sprinter.

Airport pickups on these routes

Every airport route starts at Austin-Bergstrom, where all commercial flights use the Barbara Jordan Terminal. When you give a commercial flight number, dispatch can monitor the flight and adjust staging, and driver details follow once the assigned operator is set. The meeting point is the one in that confirmation; ask for an indoor name-sign greeting if you want one. The public taxi and app pickup under the rental-car facility behind the Red Garage is a different walk.

Send a message if the flight diverts, the gate changes or you are held up long after landing. For the return trip, work back from your airline's check-in and security guidance, add the drive and a buffer, and set the hotel pickup from there.

Corridors, tolls and timing

Leaving the airport, traffic on SH-71, IH-35, US-183 or MoPac is what stretches a trip once you are in the car, and each route page names the usual corridor for that destination. Toll roads such as SH-130, SH-45 and the MoPac Express lanes are used when they save time and are authorized for the trip, and the written quote says whether tolls are included.

Weekday rush hour, Friday congestion on IH-35, a UT home Saturday, SXSW and ACL are the windows most likely to push a trip past the upper end of its range. Book those dates well ahead and leave extra margin before a flight.

Route questions

Are the route prices fixed?

Each route is quoted in writing before you book, and that written quote is the price for the itinerary described. Changes such as another stop, a different vehicle class or a new pickup time need a revised quote.

Do route transfers have a three-hour minimum?

No. The three-hour minimum applies to hourly service. A one-way transfer is an itinerary quote, with floors of $130 for a sedan and $160 for an SUV.

Can I book a route that is not listed?

Yes. Any address pair in the metro can be quoted as a point-to-point ride, and regional trips to San Antonio, Killeen, Fredericksburg, Waco and College Station are quoted as separate itineraries.

Are tolls included on airport routes?

Tolls on SH-130, SH-45 and the MoPac Express lanes are used when they save time and are authorized for the trip. Whether they are included is stated in the written quote.
