Two October events, one local fleet

The 2026 Formula 1 United States Grand Prix runs October 22 to 25 at Circuit of the Americas. The track lists a new Grand PrixView Thursday on October 22, followed by the usual Friday to Sunday race weekend. Austin City Limits Music Festival takes place in Zilker Park on two weekends: weekend 1 is October 2 to 4 and weekend 2 is October 9 to 11. If you are planning ahead for either, this page covers where cars can and cannot stop, how to choose between a transfer and an hourly booking, and how to protect a flight home from AUS.

All rides are confirmed by New York dispatch and driven by vetted local affiliate operators in Austin. Both events draw on the same pool of local vehicles, so reserve early and send names, hotel, event days and passenger counts in one request.

Circuit of the Americas: access and drop-off

COTA publishes its own access rules, and they shape how a reserved car works on race weekend. The track states that on racing weekends rideshare vehicles cannot access COTA Boulevard. Rideshare riders are directed to the McAngus Lot, where a complimentary tram runs to the Ticketmaster Box Office near the Grand Plaza. Parking on site needs a pass bought in advance for COTA Boulevard entry. The circuit also lists a shuttle that runs round trip from downtown Austin or the Travis County Expo Center to the front gates.

What that means for a chauffeur: the car does not get a private road to the gate by default. Your confirmation names the drop-off and pickup point, and that point can change with the organizer's traffic plan. For a guest with a hospitality ticket, ask the hospitality host which entrance and which vehicle access applies to that ticket, then send it with the booking. For a general admission ticket holder, plan on the confirmed drop-off plus a walk or tram ride, and agree a meeting point for the return before you leave the hotel.

We do not quote a drive time to the track. Traffic on race days depends on the session and the exit plan, so the written itinerary quote is the place to set pickup times, and a generous margin is the safest plan.

Zilker Park on ACL weekend 2

The festival names Lyft as its official rideshare partner, LAZ Parking as the handler of parking reservations, and lists shuttles and biking as other ways in. Rideshare zones and gate details sit in the festival Support Center and the festival app, and those are the places to check for the current layout. A reserved car is a separate arrangement from the festival's rideshare zones, so do not assume it can use them.

The practical step is to pick a meeting corner outside the busiest streets and put it on the reservation. Name the gate you plan to use, give the chauffeur your mobile number, and expect the confirmed corner to sit several blocks from the entrance on the busiest evenings. A short walk to a fixed pickup is easier than a car trying to reach a closed street.

Hourly or transfer

A transfer is one ride from one address to another, with the price written from your itinerary. Point-to-point floors start at $130 for a sedan and $160 for an SUV. Choose transfers when you are happy to be dropped off and collected at separate times, for example a hotel to COTA before the session and a separate ride back after it.

Hourly charter keeps a vehicle and chauffeur with you for a block of time. Estimated hourly rates are $120 for the business sedan, $150 for the SUV, $230 for the Mercedes S-Class and $240 for the Sprinter, each with a three-hour minimum. The S-Class and Sprinter rates are starting rates, and the booking form confirms the final price. Choose hourly for a day that links a downtown lunch, a hospitality stop and a dinner, or for a group that wants the same vehicle at hand between stops. If the car only needs to be at the venue at two fixed times, two transfers often fit better than a long block of waiting.

The Sprinter plans for up to 12 passengers and 12 bags and suits a corporate group moving together. Larger groups use coordinated vehicles, planned from your manifest.

Getting to and from AUS during these weekends

For Austin-Bergstrom International Airport, the airport's ground transportation page places rideshare and taxi pickups under the Consolidated Rental Car Facility, reached by a tram from the Red Garage first floor near baggage claim. The page does not set out a separate curb for prearranged chauffeur cars, so your meeting point comes from your confirmation. Send your flight number so dispatch can track the arrival.

For departures after an event, work backward from the flight and keep the margin wider than usual. Race-day exits and festival closing times both put extra traffic on the roads toward the airport. Book the airport ride as its own reservation rather than assuming a car at the venue can run you straight there. We do not publish a drive time for the airport run on these weekends, because it varies too much to promise.

A limitation worth knowing

Street closures, gate changes and traffic plans for both events are set by the organizers and the city, not by us. The confirmed meeting point is the best available at booking and can move on the day. If you need a car at a specific gate, check with the organizer first, then tell dispatch.

How to book
